Studio Armitano operates at the intersection of historical reference and modern utility, moving seamlessly across scale from fine hardware and architectural features to full-scale buildings. Founded in Brooklyn by Daniel Armitano—a trained architect who weaves his lifelong background in ceramics and a hands-on dedication to craft into a mutually dependent practice—the studio translates material history into functional elements, custom furniture, and lighting. Treating ornamentation as a carrier of anthropological memory and practical utility, the design uses spatial cues to bridge intimate everyday details with grand structural gestures.
