This book is dedicated to the coins of Venezuela. Its intention has been to offer something to every reader, to the collector, as well as the art lover, the historian, to the studious or the curious. For this reason, it presents a little historic information along with numismatic, economic and social data; even anecdotes. It covers the period from the Colony to the present, and, although it is not a detailed work on the numismatic history of the country, it allows one to view, as a whole, what has occurred on the subject of coins during this time.

El presente libro está dedicado a las monedas de Venezuela. La intención en la elaboración del mismo ha sido ofrecerle algo a cada lector: al coleccionista al igual que al amante del arte, al historiador, al estudioso o al curioso. Por tal motivo reúne un poco de información histórica con datos numismáticos, económicos, sociales y hasta anecdóticos. Abarca desde la Colonia hasta nuestros días, y aunque no es una obra exhaustiva de la historia numismática del país, permite ver en forma global todo lo que a sucedido en materia de monedas durante ese tiempo.
