The contents of the artistic and historic inheritance of one of the most important museums in Caracas and the nation have been classified, restored, and evaluated by Carlos F. Duarte, its Director since 1976.

El contenido del acervo artístico e histórico de uno de los museos más importantes de la ciudad de Caracas y del país ha sido clasificado, restaurado y puesto en valor por Carlos F. Duarte quien ha sido su director desde 1976. Este libro escrito por este reconocido erudito en la materia e Individuo de Número de la Academia Nacional de la Historia, reúne aquí ese cúmulo de experiencia, entregando al especilista y al interesado en general, la clasificación e ilustración de esas riquísimas colecciones de arte y artesanía.
Se inicia el texto de este volúmen con la interesante y dilatada historia del inmueble, catalogado como monumento nacional, en el que se hallan exhibidas estas obras.
