Between 1925 and the 1960s the many changes that were occurring in Caracas led the author of this book to call them the Motion Picture Period. At the same time that urban growth was under way in the city, the movie industry was becoming big business and exhibition outlets were in great demand. Architects designed structures of great beauty to meet this demand for movie theaters that Sidorkovs presents in great detail, transporting the reader to an epoch that is past, lamenting the loss of the buildings.

Es asi que al mismo paso del desarrollo urbano la industria cinematográfica llega a ser un gran negocio. Debido a este fenómeno los arquitectos projectan lujosos edificios para satisfacer la demanda de amplios salones cinematográficos. Nicolas Sidorkovs con arrollador entusiasmo y pasión se adentra en la descripción de la arquitectura de cada uno de los cines de Caracas y se detiene en resaltar el detalle de uno u otro. Nos transporta en una epoca pasada pero historica los viejos cines ya desaparacidos.
